French podiatrist London
Dissatisfied with the provided system of treatment available in sports podiatry, Mougnir decided to use his combined knowledge and experience in Podiatry and Posturology and the concept of Specialist Sport Podiatry is the result of that inspiration. In 2004 Mougnir set up and launched Medi-Xtrem, a medical assistance for elite sports events.
Mougnir has been managing his Sports Podiatry practice for over 16 years in France by providing to the athletes some specific care. Surely sympathetic to sports aficionados, he also tackles a varied range of complaints, whether affecting children or adults of different ages.
The purpose of Posturology is the correction of the sensory system as a whole. It is not intended to treat any disease and therefore does not claim any therapeutic application as such. As part of our specialised medical treatment, we provides specific information about certain health parameters.
Graduation, Certification, and PASSION!
In 1999, he was asked to set up a Podiatry department in the HABIB Medical Center (Riyad, Saudi Arabia).
After he gained his Certificate in Sport Podiatry from the University of Medicine Paris VI La Salpêtrière in 2000, he started his consulting activities for Sport-Akileïne, Adidas and New Balance.
In 2003, he obtained a Certificate in Sport and Physiology and went to Seoul as a Lecturer during the Student Olympic Games. The presentation covered the field of fencing and gait analysis.
In 2004, he undertook studies in Biomechanics and Posturology.
In 2009, he passed a Diploma in Posturology and he focuses on the management of postural, balance and lower limb troubles.
The Sport Podiatrist and the Passion.
Mougnir’s passion in podiatry started at a very early age at 16 when he was training as an elite fencer, he sprained his ankle and was referred to the only one French sport podiatrist. He was so passionate about his work that it led Mougnir to achieve his vocation and passion combining both sport and podiatry.
In his early years of studies in podiatry and as a keen water-skier, he designed and manufactured some specific orthotics, and became a consultant to the members of the French water-skiing team. After graduation, 1998 he went to Orlando (Florida) to continue his research and development in orthotics.
Mougnir’s passion led him to travel all around the world as a podiatrist and to develop a strong sense of empathy towards his patients. In 2004 he set up and launched Medi-Xtrem, as medical assistance for sport elite events.
In 2005 he became a Lecturer in Sport Podiatry at the University of Medicine Paris 13. He is also well known as a podiatry consultant on the French TV5 health channel show (Le Magazine de la Santé) and Elle, Triathlete or Running magazines.
Still a keen sportsman, he trains in triathlon, he regularly goes surfing, and he is also an elite fencing coach at Escrime Academy in London (qualified as Fencing Instructor in 1992, with 20 years of practice).
